Born of the King and Queen of the Monkeys, this prince arrived so hungry that he chased the sun across the heavens. Eventually, he was struck by lightning. The Hindu gods made him immortal and granted him fantastic powers. He spent his youth misusing his powers, tormenting the Hindu saints. To punish him, they erased his mind and he forgot of the awesome powers he possessed such as incredible strength and the power to grow enormous or shrink smaller than a mouse. Having learned his lesson, Hanuman went on amazing adventures to help the many people on his journeys and was regarded as a hero along the lines of Hercules.
